Next up is Karma Climb, and I can definitely hear Ben more during the guitar solo parts. Bear in mind that this is only the second festival show they've played this year, and already they're performing as if they've been out on the road for months. Maybe this fragmented way of touring is paying for itself in terms of the energy reserves being fully stocked? "Pace is the trick", as some band or other once said. This is undoubtedly a good sign for the impending dates at Glatonbury and Werchter, which I think will be extremely emotional for all concerned. On the subject of noticing things, did you spot the return of the turbines behind Ed for this show? I was always concerned for the man when they first appeared, fearing an electrical fault would speed them up to ridiculous rotations and end up pulling him backwards off his drum stool and chopping his skinny frame into "a thousand pieces", as some band or other once said.
