This is a homecoming gig, of sorts, taking place as it does in the city where Editors' first record label Kitchenware was based. It's also the city where I witnessed them play for the first time back in 2006, which is just one of a series of events and encounters that ultimately led to the creation of the very channel you're currently viewing. Strange how fate works... It's a solid collection of highlights from the first four Editors albums and the further away we get from this era, the more I miss songs like Honesty. It's a shame that "The Weight of Your Love" carries such an uncomfortably heavy burden of in the form of its own history, and all the near-apocalyptic circumstances that surrounded its creation, because there are some great songs on there. This recording will hopefully help to clarify that point.
