SUBSCRIBE MY CHANNEL https://studio.youtube.com/channel/UCit06GOCYGOBWgYynGsqDkA CONNECT WITH ME ON INSTAGRAM https://www.instagram.com/ajitabh_bharadwaj/channel/ For the friends visiting Dehradun/Rishikesh and even those who live in these cities - if you are looking for a nice, uncrowded place for a nice day-outing with your family and friends, you would love a visit to the village Itharna (Dehradun-Raipur-Thano-Bhogpur-Itharna….Rishikesh-Ranipokhari-Bhogpur-Itharna, approx 45 km from ddun, 70-90 minutes drive, approx an hour drive from Rishikesh). (This place is recommended for a family outing and not a suitable place for beer parties for friends for two reasons – the sanctity of the place should be maintained and drunk driving will prove fatal on the narrow and winding roads). Beautiful scenic route especially the last 15 km hill drive from Bhogpur to Itharna. Located on the hilltop is a beautiful temple complex (new temples, no history) and a large meadow which looks amazingly beautiful. Take your picnic lunch with you as there is no shop closeby. Take your Frisbees, football, badminton, rackets, bat-ball along and kids will have a blast there. For those who believe in God, the place will surely give them a sort of spiritual bliss for the kind of peace and serenity that it offers. During the peak summers, it will be very hot there during the day as the sun shines very brightly there (we were lucky as it was cloudy) but during the winters, it will be a paradise there ! Driving enthusiasts and bikers would love the drive. Beautiful scenic drive but not for the novice drivers as it is a steep, winding, narrow road from Bhogpur to Itharna.
