In India at the moment sports are not promoted so much. It isn’t that we don’t have people who are passionate about sports or we don’t have any athletes or potential in the country. It is just that they aren’t pushed in a proper way or aren’t getting the required exposure. They don’t get any form of encouragement from the authorities. Even the social environment is such that it isn’t considered as appropriate or taken as seiously as it should be. And yet look at all the great sports personalities we have had so far from all over India. So many of them are self made after going through tremendous struggles in their lives, yet sticking to what they believed in, are passionate about. I tried making this video as an initiative in doing a tiny bit in promoting or pushing something that I feel deserves to be pushed, and that which more and more people need to know about. So much more needs to be done. We the people can play our personal parts by talking about them on public forums and creating content in any which way possible. @akshay_freestyle and @aarishfreestyle in action here. Akshay is a professional football freestyler and has featured in many Indian TV commercials. Aarsish is a Guiness World Record holder (most cross-overs in 30 seconds) and is an all-round freestyle champ. @hasanarmy007 helped me in editing the video.
