A legacy is reborn! Founded in the very early '70s by Guitarist-Frontman Richard 'Blitz' Livoni, San Diego's legendary BLITZ Brothers were perhaps the earliest and longest running local electric blues-rock trio. They took a well deserved break in 1986, but reformed in 2011 with Barney Roach on bass and backing vocals, and Calvin Lakin on drums. The band has stayed true to it's original sound and love for the heavier side of the blues, with Richard Blitz perpetuating "the BLITZ sound" for over 4 decades now. In recent years, they have opened for such luminaries as Johnny Winter, Leon Russell, Pat Travers, Jimmy Thackery, Bugs Henderson, Ace Frehley, Dennis Quaid, and many many more.
