Alan Arnette's video: Lama Geshe

For almost anyone who has climbed in the Khumbu Region of Nepal, and many trekkers, you might have known this wonderful man, Lama Geshe. He blessed many climbers and trekkers throughout his life in his home in the Himalayan Sherpa village of Pangboche I was fortunate to have his blessing for many climbs but most memorable was coming back to his home after my 2011 Everest summit with my teammate Mirjam, and Kami. We showed him pictures and how we have made it the top of the world. He smiled broadly, laughed deeply, and held our hands with his warm and gentle fingers. He was thrilled to see us because, as he told us through Kami, everyone sees him going in and no one stops to let him know what happened on the way out! He was thrilled we had a summit and were safe. I left his home that day full of energy and happiness. Lama Geshe died on February 12, 2018, at age 87. Om mani peme hung Alan Memories are Everything
