Alan J. Preston- Tenor's video: Because - Guy d Hardelot

Hi everyone! Here's the first of my Mario Lanza tribute videos from my studio session at Newport's COBRA Music Studios here in Wales. This he famously sang in the 1951 film "The Great Caruso" and was written by French composer "Guy d'Hardelot, which was the pen name of a lady by the name of Helen Rhodes who believed that her music would achieve greater popularity by using a male pseudonym! It's certainly one of my favourites from this collection of 6 videos plus a showreel which will follow in the coming weeks! I really hope you will enjoy listening and watching as much as I enjoyed singing these pieces. The hope is that as 2021 returns to some degree of normality that these and other songs become part of a Mario Lanza centennial show I'm aiming to perform during the year!
