Non è raro che si adduca a "farming" ed incontri casuali la "colpa" di rendere troppo lenti i JRPG, spesso annodati in meccaniche che un tempo venivano tollerate dai giocatori solo perché non c'erano alternative e si tendeva a spolpare un singolo videogioco per interi mesi.
