AlexGetsAroundHD's video: White Elephants - MYANMAR TRAVEL HIGHLIGHTS

@White Elephants - MYANMAR TRAVEL HIGHLIGHTS
First impressions: WHERE ARE ALL THE PEOPLE?? Nay Pyi Daw (or Naypyitaw) has very few permanent inhabitants compared to its size. It’s about six times the size of New York City but with currently less than one million residents. It is a purpose-built city that became Myanmar’s capital city in 2005. It is located about 250 miles (400 km) north of Yangon. Some Highlights: A 20-lane highway – Nay Pyi Daw is the only capital city in Southeast Asia where you will never get stuck in traffic. Uppatasanti Pagoda – a replica of Yangon’s Shwedagon Pagoda that stands at 321 ft. (98 m) tall. White (albino) elephants - highly revered symbols of power and good fortune.
