'Big Engineer' shows how to ride Metro Los Angeles trains and subways to get to and from the huge Grand Park 4th of July Block Party in Downtown LA, where he has an interesting run-in with the LAPD Metro Transit Police before the Big Fireworks Show. It's the annual DTLA Fireworks party! Celebrate Independence Day with 40,000 fellow Angelenos and Americans at a party 8 blocks long! Enjoy the fireworks show lighting up iconic architecture in Downtown Los Angeles, in and around Grand Park. Do you use LA's transit system to go downtown? Have you noticed the addition of the LAPD and Long Beach Police Department officers, along with the LA County Sheriff's Department deputies? Does the new police presence make the LA Metro system feel safer? The DTLA Grand Park Block Party had 600 law enforcement personnel present! Metro Los Angles shows that it's very capable of quickly and safely moving large crowds. The expanding transit system will no doubt play a major role in LA's bid for the 2024 Olympic Games. We highlight the new LA Metro Expo Line light rail train, and the LA Metro Red Line and Purple Line subway trains in this video. Learn how to use the LA train system! Due to the busy crowds, we shot this entire video using a GoPro HERO5 Session camera and an Apple iPhone 7. We built a special rig for the iPhone, which also had a Sony wireless lav mic receiver connected for audio.
