@MLS Chicago Fire vs FC Dallas Major League Soccer 2014
Ole Ole Ole and Welcome to All Your Living Needs, I'm your host Johno and this is the MLS Chicago Fire vs FC Dallas Major League Soccer 2014. Time: 8:30PM EST Saturday August 30th 2014 Previous Meetings (Chicago 2 Wins, 2 Losses, 1 Draw) Oct 12, 2013 DAL 2 - 3 CHI May 23, 2012 CHI 2 - 1 DAL Oct 12, 2011 CHI 1 - 2 DAL Mar 19, 2011 DAL 1 - 1 CHI Oct 2, 2010 DAL 3 - 0 CHI Season Goal Leaders Chicago Fire FC Dallas Mike Magee 7 Fabian Castillo 9 Quincy Amarikwa 7 Tesho Akindele 7 Harrison Shipp 6 Michel 7 Jeff Larentowicz 4 Blas Pérez 6 Season Stats Chicago Fire FC Dallas 24 Games Played 25 4 Wins 12 6 Losses 7 14 Draws 6 Chicago Fire Chicago tied with Toronto FC 2 - 2 this past Saturday. Toronto got super lucky just moments into the game when Justin Marrow was assisted by Chicago Fire defender Bacary Soumare when he attempted to deflect the goal shot with a header that then landed inside the box. In the 70th minute Robert Earnshaw having just made his debut for the team four minutes prior was able to knock a long ball in for a goal tying the game. Then in the 89th minute Quincy Amarikwa former Toronto FC player now playing for the Chicago Fire tied things up with the final goal of the game. Disciplinary Report: Segares 1) caution away from suspension Disabled List: None Conference Standings: Eastern Conference FC Dallas Dallas beat Real Salt Lake 2 - 1 Friday August 22nd. One of the stranger things that occurred during the game was when FC Dallas Blas Perez in the 30th minute got a yellow card in what looked like an attempt to calm down a shoving match. The fighting seemed to continue into the 43rd minute when Real Salt Lake Schuler jumped over Perez and then once Perez was back on his feet Schuler threw him to the ground again. Schuler only received a yellow card but the ref gave Perez a second yellow equaling a red and sending him off the field. Despite being down a man Dallas was still able to score a goal in the 49th minute by Watson and then Fabian Castillo after making a great run and attempt finally was able to put the ball in at the 73rd minute making it 2 - 0. Real made one goal during second half stoppage time but they just couldn’t match FC Dallas’ determination to win. Disciplinary Report: Blas Perez - OUT Red card Michel - OUT Yellow-card accumulation Perez - 1) caution away from suspension Disabled List: D George John (R knee) M Hendry Thomas (L ACL tear) GK Chris Seitz (R quad tear) Conference Standings: Western Conference NOTES ON PREDICTION: Even though the Chicago Fire are ranked 8th in the Eastern Conference they are still a very strong team and up against FC Dallas particularly with Perez sitting out the game they really have a chance to win this one. I think both are even paired in their midfielders and forwards and the question is going to come down to their defense. I think FC Dallas defense is stronger but they tend to have a hard time when they can’t focus on one specific person and that’s what Chicago brings to the game a range of players able to score.
