Portland scored six minutes in with a goal by Diego Valeri and then in the 75th minute Maxi Urruti scored for the Timbers again followed just four minutes later by the final goal of the night for the Timbers. This loss switches Vancouver with Portland for the chance at the playoffs. Silva’s goal came in the 57th minute as the Red Bull goalkeeper found himself completely outside the box and unable to defend the attack. Eddie Johnson in stoppage time manages to make an incredible run to the Red Bulls goal and puts it away for the final score.
