Will Bruin finally made the goal in what could be called an ameauter mistake by rookie Steve Birnbaum on the DC United team while attempted to gain control of the ball instead of pushing it off the field leaving both himself and the goalkeeper flat on their backs and making it an easy goal for Bruin. Houston was lucky in their game against the United and Seattle was unlucky but these games shouldn’t be decided on luck. It’s when skill really gets played that we see the best of games. I still have to believe this late in the season that Houston just isn’t ready for a game against Seattle.
