with the entry of Tiguan, volkswagen has re entered into the SUV segment in india. Launched as a mid size SUV, the tiguan will compete with the full size SUV's likes Toyota fortuner, ford endeavour, and recently launched ISuzu MUX. The tiguan is built on a volkswagen's MQB platform and will be assembled in companies auragabad facility in india. It is closer in size and nature to the Hyundai Tucson, but far more expensive. Unlike tucson, the car comes with a permanant four wheel drive and , meanwhile, company positions it as a cheaper alternative to compact luxury SUVs like the BMW X1 and the Mercedes-Benz GLA!
