Allen's video: CNN 2021 U S Election Night Prediction Virginia New Jersey NYC

@CNN 2021 U.S. Election Night Prediction | Virginia, New Jersey, & NYC
The 2021 U.S. Elections are a series of off-year elections in the first year of an Incumbent President. Most notably, Virginia and New Jersey hold Governor / Gubernatorial Elections. New York City along with other major cities hold mayoral elections. This year, Ohio’s 11th & 15th Congressional Districts hold special elections to fill the vacancies of two congressional members who resigned earlier in the year. Incumbent Virginia Democratic Governor Ralph Northam is term limited and cannot run for a second term as per state law. Instead, Former Governor Terry McAuliffe is seeking to win his old job back for a second nonconsecutive term. His Republican Opponent Glenn Youngkin however has significantly tightened the governors race with both candidates seemingly in dead heat according to polling data. In New Jersey, Incumbent Democratic Governor Phil Murphy is seeking re-election. His Republican Opponent Jack Ciattarelli is hoping to unseat him polls also show this race is surprisingly narrower as compared as to 2017. In New York City, Incumbent Democrat Bill de Blasio is term limited and cannot run for re-election. Democrat Eric Adams is running against Republican Curtis Sliwa. Polling shows that Adams has a very wide lead over Sliwa. In OH-11, Democratic Congresswoman Marcia Fudge resigned to become the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. Democrat Shontel Brown is running against Republican Laverne Gore with polling showing Brown winning in a heavily Democratic District. In OH-15, Republican Steve Stivers resigned to become President and CEO of the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. Republican Mike Carey is running against Democrat Allison Russo with polls showing Carey winning in a right leaning district. These first off-year elections are usually a test of an Incumbent President’s popularity and impacts on the following midterm elections. President Joe Biden certainly falls into that position with a low approval rating and highly contested elections (most notably Virginia). Whatever happens will have an impact on how Americans view President Biden and Democrats and whether or not this will have an impact on the future of the 2022 and 2024 Elections. Watch to find out!
