Amazing Planet's video: YIKES 5 really really SCARY HIKES

@YIKES! 5 really, really SCARY HIKES!
YIKES! 5 really, really SCARY HIKES! No 5. Great Britain’s Striding Edge walk is a very popular and exciting hike. And it’s also a notoriously hazardous one, particularly in winter, with accidents commonplace as people scramble their way to the third highest mountain summit in England, some 950 scary metres above sea level. Again, if you attempt this hairy hike in winter… don’t forget get to take your trusty ice axe! No 4. Peru’s physically demanding hike up to Wayna Picchu is one of the most stunningly picturesque climbs in existence, because when you’ve huffed-and-puffed and reached the top you get an absolutely spectacular view of the world famous Machu Pichu (of course that’s where the Incas used to hang-out)…but just don’t rush the climb, because it’s very, very steep… and there’s no safety railing. No 3. The Italian Dolomites are home to an array of uniquely nerve-racking and death defying hikes – unique because many of the hikes feature iron ladders and iron pathways built by troops during World War One. And maybe somewhat like those troops, don’t leave home without your helmet, because when you’re out enjoying a majestic breathtaking vista… the last thing you want is to get whacked on the head by a falling rock. No 2. As we head to the Spanish province of Malaga, things now start to get a little bit silly. The Camino del Ray – or King’s Pathway in English—is a very poorly maintained narrow little steel and concrete sky-way that just barely clings to the side of a mountain some 330 feet above the river below. Yep, personally, I’m gonna give this one a miss. Thanks anyway. And the No. 1 world’s scariest hike is China's Hua Shan plank walk. This is pure cliff-top lunacy, the likes of which have never been seen before – we’re talkin’ ancient rickety little ramshackle planks… and we’re talkin’ 7000 feet of sheer drop to the earth below. …Good luck. ***The Music*** -- called "The Maker -- was composed by Peter McIsaac Music
