Amazing Planet's video: Real SEA MONSTER caught off New South Wales south coast Australia January 2015

@Real “SEA MONSTER” caught off New South Wales south coast, Australia, January 2015!
Real “SEA MONSTER” / GOBLIN SHARK caught on tape off New South Wales south coast, Australia, January 2015! Well, who says there’s no such thing as real sea monsters? I reckon we can go out on a limb with this crazy critter and label it as a bone fide sea-dwelling monster. And with teeth and a head like that, what else would you call it?… actually it’s officially known as a goblin shark or a Mitsukurina Owstoni. They can grow up to 4 meters long when fully matured and they tend to really like the deep-sea regions of our oceans, typically inhabiting submarine canyons and upper continental slopes -- in fact a goblin shark tooth was once found lodged in an undersea cable at a depth of 1370 meters or 4490 feet; and it has in fact been speculated that that shark, the shark that bit the cable, was actually attempting to access the internet so it could watch YouTube… So I say to that goblin shark; please don’t forget those up-thumbs and we’d of course love to have you as a subscriber… We hope you have enjoyed watching this goblin shark footage / real sea monsters video -- we finally found a sea monster (maybe one day we'll find one alive and record it on tape!) This has been another Amazing Planet production, thanks very much for watching. ***The music*** -- called "Past the Edge" -- was composed by the very talented and generous Kevin MacLeod of Incompetech: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3pdhNnzdfQ
