American Ballet Theatre's video: ABT NYU Master s Program Spotlight: Meet Alumnus Pamela Levy

Apply today for the ABT/NYU Master’s Program! In this video, meet alum Pamela Levy, Director of Steps Youth Programs at Steps on Broadway. New York University and American Ballet Theatre partner to offer the original graduate program in dance education. In this program, graduate students work toward their Master of Arts Degree in Teaching Dance in the Professions with a certificate in ABT Ballet Pedagogy. This program prepares graduates for employment in multiple settings including private studios, conservatories, company schools, as teaching-artists, and through community outreach studios. Students are also equipped for further doctoral study in dance education and teaching in higher education. The applicant for this track is an accomplished ballet dancer who wants to develop pedagogical content in this art form.
