Little Church in the Mountains! This little church nestled in the North Georgia mountains dates back to the late 1800's. The original church was further down the road in what was once a town. In addition to the church, there was a school house too. For whatever reason, the town ceased to exist at some point. The church was rebuilt in its present location in 1975 by a minister along with friends and relatives. He served as pastor until his death in 1987. The church remains active, and holds services twice each month as well as an annual homecoming. The church has no utilities at all. During homecoming services which are held at night, the sanctuary is illuminated by oil lamps. The water fountain outside is operated by a pump system invented by the ancient Romans that requires no power. The water comes from a nearby creek. The church has a cemetery that dates back to about the time of the founding of the original church. There are a number of graves marked only with small stones. This is .
