Subscribe to American Eye http://goo.gl/GBphkv 10: The San Jose The Galleon San Jose is one of the most amazing discoveries ever found underwater. It’s also worth billions of dollars!! For centuries, this ship has sat on the ocean floor off the coast of Cartagena, Colombia. It went down in flames back in 1708 after a battle with the British. 9: Lord Krishna’s Lost City One of the more mysterious underwater discoveries is the lost city of Dwarka, also known as Lord Krishna’s Ancient City. So far as the legend goes, this city dates back to 9000 BC. It was allegedly built after Lord Krishna decided to construct a city off the western coast of India to protect his citizens against attacks from rival empires. 8: World War 2 Fighter Plane A very cool fighter plane from the Second World War has been pulled out of the water off the coast of Norway, near the island of Sotra. While this kind of thing happens all the time, this particular war bird is fascinating because of its story and its impressive condition. 7: The Pelican Eel No list of amazing things discovered in the ocean would be complete without at least one horrifying creature. The creature on today's list is something called the pelican eel. It's an absolute freak of nature and probably shouldn't even exist. 6: Skeletons on the Antikythera Shipwreck The Antikythera shipwreck is the same shipwreck where the mysterious Antikythera mechanism was found in the Aegean Sea. The mechanism has often been referred to as the first ever computer, with some people claiming it could have its origins with alien technology, and others saying it was simply a technologically advanced piece of equipment designed by the Greeks. 5: Portuguese Pyramid Most people are familiar with the mysterious underwater pyramid found off the coast of Japan, but an even newer and more mysterious pyramid has been found off the coast of Portugal, and it has sent the scientific community into a maelstrom of confusion. 4: The Largest Canyon Ever Another amazing discovery, though not quite as mysterious, is the Zhemchug Canyon, known as the largest and deepest submarine canyon in the world. It's hard to actually envision just how enormous this underwater region is. 3: The Uluburun Shipwreck The Uluburun Shipwreck is one of the oldest and most amazing shipwrecks ever discovered. It was found off the coast of Turkey, and it likely originated from the Bronze Age, somewhere between 1330 and 1300 BC. 2: Field of Metal Balls One of the last things anyone expects to find at the bottom of the ocean is a field of metal balls. This is a very strange discovery that happened back in 2015 when a team of German scientists was trolling the sea floor for organisms in the Atlantic Ocean. 1: Japanese WWII Submarine Last on the list for today is an amazing sunken Japanese World War Two submarine recently located off the coast of Hawaii. This is by no means a rare discovery. After all the brutal sea battles in World War 2, there are countless Japanese subs scattered across the sea floor from Hawaii to Japan. But this one is a little different.
