AOC Heartfelt Reaction on Night of Bernie Sanders Losses (March 10, 2020). Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez conceded that Tuesday was a "tough night" for her chosen 2020 Democratic presidential candidate, Sen. Bernie Sanders, who suffered a series of devastating primary defeats. Sanders suffered a series of devastating defeats, particularly in Michigan, a week after former Vice President Joe Biden clobbered him in the Super Tuesday contests. Ocasio-Cortez, who endorsed Sanders in October and has campaigned with him across the country, urged her supporters not to lose hope in electoral politics. Rep.
