Nick Hoyer's video: Two Ex-Burlington Northern SD60M Leaders Over Two Summers

@Two Ex-Burlington Northern SD60M Leaders Over Two Summers
On September 22, 1995, two of the largest class I railroads on the west coast, the Burlington Northern and the Santa Fe, merged to create the BNSF. Following this, many of the former locomotives from each of the two former railroads continued to wear their former colors. This is still displayed over 30 years later. While much of the power has been patched to their current owners specs, many former Burlington Northern units to wear the iconic “Casacade Green” paint scheme. Over the course of the summers of 2018-2019, I was fortunate enough to be able to capture two of some of the last BN SD60Ms still wearing the scheme. With many of the units now being repainted, and with the diminishing presence of the SD60Ms on American Class I railroads, this video felt fitting to make to pay homage to the heritage that has paved the way for today’s innovation.
