Recipe: Ingredients 1 loaf Panettone Bread large (any variety) Butter 12 eggs 2 cups of heavy cream 3 3/4 cups of milk 2 cups of sugar Directions Butter a 13x9x2 inch baking pan. Cube or rip apart bread (I just rip it apart) and arrange in the pan. In a large bowl whisk together the eggs, cream and sugar to blend. Pour the mixture over the bread and press the bread with a fork to submerge. Let stand for 30 minutes. (Can be prepared 2 hours before hand if you cover and refrigerate) Preheat oven to 350 Bake until pudding puffs and is set in the center, about 45 minutes. Cool slightly. Optional Cinnamon Syrup 1 cup water 1 cup dark brown sugar (packed) 2 tablespoons whipping cream 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon Combine water and brown sugar in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil over high heat until sugar is dissolved. Boil the syrup until it reduces to 1 cup. Remove from heat and whisk in cream and cinnamon. Keep the syrup warm.
