That’s a historic low approval rate for a first term President. It is very clear the American public perceives Biden and the democrats as unable or unwilling to solve the crises of today. This means the Republican Party is poised to win back the majority in the US Congress at the midterm elections. The Cook Political report recently updated their predictions of the 2022 House Race to project a GOP victory. In the generic Congressional ballot, the Democrats are trailing at least 2.5 points behind. Most election analysts are pointing to a massive GOP victory in November, possibly greater than the 1994 and 2010 House Races. It’s still too early to say whether the GOP will also win back the Senate, where they only need to flip 1 seat to make Mitch McConnell the Senate Majority leader. On the house side, GOP Congressman Kevin McCarthy will most likely occupy the Speaker’s office in 2023.
