In circumstances such as the one we are currently experiencing, we completely realize of how extremely connected to one another we are. Thus, the famous commandment of “love thy neighbor as thyself” is no longer a figure of speech. It is no longer merely something we say, but rather it has become a categorical imperative. It has become something that we can all understand and put into action. I believe that doing good is our sole life purpose. Doing good is important because when we do good for others, as we are all connected, we do good for ourselves too. The Foundation that bears my name was established in 2011 and it has achieved many things around the world, has also been able to carry out important construction projects here in Italy, in the areas that were devastated by the earthquake. Currently it is focused on rebuilding the Academy of Camerino. We had hoped to complete also this project in 150 days also, but the coronavirus has put a stop to this time frame. However, we are certain that, nevertheless, we will be able to complete it in an extremely short time period and we believe that the music that will go on to be played in this school will help us to cry victory over the coronavirus.
