De-watering Mine tailings.Huge mining companies as a by-product to their process produce huge tailings dams, these are a life manageable environmental disaster that require constant maintenance and can and do pollute ground water. The trapped water can now be cost effectively removed, this is particularly important due to most mines been in arid areas. Some mines have to stop or limit production due to the lack of or limited process water. Due to revenue from mining companies governments would turn a blind eye leaving tailings dams as legacy for feature generations to clean up when the mining companies have long gone. However there are some ethics out there and certain companies take their corporate responsibilities and environmental responsibilities’ seriously.
