Andy Hateley's video: FD Irwindale Quick Check In

Looks like our bad luck has struck again at Irwindale Speedway. Had some issues with the trailing arms during practice. Got it fixed and we headed out for the last 30 minutes of practice. I get about a half a run in and feel more vibrations, different then the trailing arm vibrations. Our crank pulley bolt came loose and damaged the crank pulley bolt. We managed to find one thanks to Jeff Jones Racing after sprinting from team to team in the pits asking for a spare. We get the bolt installed and get the car back together with 5 minutes to spare before our first qualifying lap. I head out for the first lap and the vibrations come on strong again halfway through the bank. The crank pulley bolt came loose again, probably due to the crank threads being damaged. I decided to call it before we do any more damage. Watching our points chase disintegrate over the past two events was tough. We have a lot of work to do in the offseason. I will not settle for another year of failures. Time to step it up and make this car work. If we can get two top 8 finishes while being hindered by mechanical issues and having minimal practice, imagine what we could do with a rock solid car. Prep for Formula Drift Pro2 2019 starts now!
