Andy Morales's video: Knights Of The City Rare Motion Picture Soundtrack CBS Private I - 1986 FULL CASSETTE RIP

@Knights Of The City (Rare Motion Picture Soundtrack; CBS / Private I - 1986) FULL CASSETTE RIP!
Hey everyone! I'm back and ready to bring all of you 80's music fans something VERY special...let alone this is quite possibly the RAREST discovery I have ever acquired in my possession! What you are surprisingly looking at right now is the original motion picture soundtrack to a critically failed break-dance action adventure film from 1986 called, "Knights Of The City;" starring Leon Issac Kennedy, Nicholas Campbell, John Mengatti, Stoney Jackson, and even Ms. Janine Turner in her first ever breakout movie role! Released in the U.S.A. on February 14th, 1986, and directed by Mr. Dominic Orlando..."Knights Of The City" tells the tale of a Floridian street gang who strive themselves to become the biggest names in the music industry; despite their continuous hardships with immense crime on the streets. Now I don't want to spoil too much of the plot, but pretty much this film was like taking 1961's "West Side Story," and blending it together with 1984's "Breakin';" a very strange combination that of course didn't fully translate well with viewers. Even worse..."Knights Of The City" was originally supposed to have had an official release for the Fall season of 1984 (draft title: 'Cry Of The City'), but sadly it was pushed ahead two years later due to their producer having affiliations with the mob; Michael Franzese was I believe the guy's name. Anyway, I'm sure you're also aware that "Knights Of The City" didn't do well financially; raking in only $601,451 worldwide. I'm not so sure on what was their proposed budget when Mr. Franzese was involved in the production, but I'm assuming it had to have been WAY more than what was grossed in the theater; especially from the clothing, location scouting, set designs, The Fat Boys and Smokey Robinson's cameo appearances...you get the idea. Anyway, enough of me lecturing about the story of this obscure 80's oddity; let's get right into the soundtrack! For years I thought this compilation NEVER existed due to its sudden bomb at the box office, but long behold...I was really blown away that someone on eBay was selling a SEALED promotional cassette of this vast under the radar motion picture! The only downside was that I had to remove the plastic wrapping, but who cares...some of these 80's songs are really hard to find; like: Nancy West's "Contagious," Daniel "Snake" Vitalo, Jr.'s "You Can Do It," and my most favorite one of them all..."Can You Feel It" by Up Front! Keep in mind guys, this is about 3/4 of the complete soundtrack to "Knights Of The City"...omitting "My Part Of Town" by the Miami Electro-Funk genius, Michael Sterling; which is really a shame. On the other hand, there's still a few gems on this rare cassette that I couldn't resist ending people's searches once and for all. To celebrate, I've recorded both sides for your own listening pleasure...so I hope you'll enjoy checking out this highly sought after 80's music jewel!
