Loaded with high quality, low noise components and Peter Hamstead’s skillful circuit design, the Ascent has near-zero tone coloration and distortion, perfect for punching up a signal before or after pedals or into a tube amp to achieve natural tube breakup. Armed with 30V internal headroom and a VCA controlled gain knob, this boost is very linear and dynamic. During these time of Covid-19, the live music scene has completely halted and musicians and the backline technicians that keep bands running from show to show have been faced with some real challenges. The plan for the Hamstead Ascent is to not only get these techs working again but donate a portion of sales to charity.
