https://thorpyfx.com/ Named after the British fighter jet, the ThorpyFX Electric Lightning is a Drive/Boost designed to help Chris Buck achieve his supersonic signature tones, no matter the backline! The Electric Lightning is Thorpy’s first foray into valve (tube) based pedals. It starts with a high headroom overdrive circuit running on a dedicated 12v power supply. Softer attack or changes in your guitar volume instantly clean up and the Drive’s powerful 3-band EQ is key in adapting to any rig, whether solid state or tube. The other component to this custom design is a high headroom Clean Boost that is placed before the Drive. This Boost can be used independently but it proves to be essential in taking the drive into high gain, singing sustain territory. And to make sure those Chris Buck lead tones stay tight and defined, the boost has a pre-gain Lows control like we’ve seen in other ThorpyFX designs.
