The core fuzz tone is very dynamic and responsive to guitar volume cleanup and the gain ranges from lighter distortion to full blown fuzz. There are even two polar opposite voices to get you started, Bright or Fat, indicated by the Orange or Blue LEDs. Plus, a Clean blend lets the dry signal back in for meaty bass guitar tones or increased note definition in high gain settings and the Tone control lets you fine tune either with a Low or high pass filter to match perfectly with your rig. If that weren’t enough, Stone Deaf takes full advantage of digital control when it comes to switching the octave in and out. Along with momentary and latching, they’ve created a new rhythmic feature called Octapulse. This octave up tremolo/vibrato effect comes complete with Tap tempo and subdivisions and even lets you create your own custom tap patterns to weave into your riffs. Advanced features include a gate feature to quite the blazing Octapulse patterns, 5 modes for octave and fuzz switching and a powerful external jack for controlling the Octapulse rate via exp pedal or remote switching/ octave functions. StoneDeaf FX are handmade in England and the design for Rise & Shine has been a labor of love over the last 3 years. The enclosure alone is precision engineered with the tightest tolerances, sporting machined aluminum knobs, laser engraving and tucked in elegant packing.
