Andy's Lawn and Landscaping's video: Backyard Lawn renovation steps 5 and 6- the seeding day aftercare for new seed

@Backyard Lawn renovation steps 5 and 6- the seeding day+ aftercare for new seed!
The day of the seeding has finally arrived, and I am very excited to finally lay down new seed! If you haven't watched steps 1-4, I recommend you do so to see how I got to this step today. Here is some advice about grass seed rates for cool season lawns. These are my rates that I recommend for a new lawn: Kentucky bluegrass: 3 lbs/1000 square feet Perennial Ryegrass: 8-10+ lbs/1000 square feet Fescue Mix: 6-9 lbs/1000. Mix of all 3 grass types: 10+lbs/1000. When you put down the seed, a heavy rate is not bad at all. JUST KEEP IT EVEN! After seeding, very gently rake the seed in with the back side of a plastic rake. Be careful to not shift the seed all into one area. After this, it is time for a starter fertilizer. ANY synthetic fertilizer with N-P-K and no added herbicides, just straight fertilizer will work just fine. More applications will follow later this fall. Lastly is the watering. Water twice a day for 15 minutes at a time, very gently. Keep this up until it is time to mow. When to mow? Stay tuned to find out! I hope you found this video helpful!
