Emerald skinks, or emerald tree skinks (or green tree skinks!), are skinks that live throughout Indo-Pacific islands. There are three (or four, depending on who you ask) living species of emerald tree skinks - though not all the species appear green! These lizards are common in human settles around where they live but they spend most of their time in trees - they're arboreal animals!
Scientific Name: Genus - Lamprolepis
Range: Indo-Pacific islands
Size: up to four inches (10cm) in body length
Diet: fruit, nectar, arthropods like wasps, beetles, and ants as well as other invertebrates
Lifespan: 5 years in the wild
