Animated Brick Builders's video: Our very first Stop Motion LEGO movie - We ve come a long way

In May 2017, my son and I were doing what we always do every Saturday morning, playing with our LEGO collection. He told me that we should make a LEGO movie so I decided to search the App store to see if there was such a thing as a stop motion app. I came across an app called Stop Motion. I think I paid $5.00 to download it. A few hours later we shot and edited this stop motion movie we titled "Under Arrest" on my iPhone. We enjoyed making it so much that I began researching stop motion. I started with a book called "The LEGO Animation Book" by David Pagano and David Pickett. I learned a lot from that book and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in stop motion photography. I wanted to take our productions to the next level so I purchased Dragonframe, a stop motion capturing software that would work with my Canon 5D Mark III. All of the editing is now done in Adobe Premiere and Photoshop. So now my phone is free to take behind the scenes photos of our productions! LOL!! Ever since that early morning in May, we've really taken our productions to the next level as you can see in the other stop motion videos on our Animated Brick Builders page. Animated Brick Builders is a Father and Son LEGO stop motion duo from Michigan. My passion for video and editing and my son Evan’s passion for LEGO made this a very special bond that will last forever. The look on my son’s face when his LEGOs come to life is PRICELESS!
