Dangerous Stream Crossing | Chota Dhara | Lahaul & Spiti | Mahindra XUV 500 | The Spiti Circuit | Road Trip 2018 This was during our recent Road Trip (The Spiti Circuit 2018) while crossing the Chota Dhara section on the Batal to Chattru Patch in Lahaul District in Himachal Pradesh. This notorious water crossing has been a pain in the butt for many drivers over the past many years. Although this year there was almost no water flow through the Chota Dhara, it still remains a difficult rock garden climb with an uncomfortable gradient for the vehicles travelling from Manali to Kaza. We came across this Himachali Rookie driver with a Mahindra XUV 500 W10. He tried all the wrong ways to power through this small technical rock garden sectioned and failed. Also made the XUV look bad in my opinion. Anyways, a local cab driver offered to help and in a couple of attempts he managed to clear the obstacle. Phew, thank him for making way for the others.
