The Ezidi (Yazidis) are a Kurdish religious minority based in the north of Iraq (Southern Kurdistan). In August of 2014, Daesh (ISIS) invaded their ancestral homeland of Sinjar and committed a genocide. Nadia Murad was just one out of thousands of Ezidi women sold into slavery by the terrorist network. This video is based on an audio recording of an article that I wrote for Areo Magazine on July 30th, 2017.
