Anthony Randall's video: Night Trains at Centralia Missouri

The town of Centralia, Missouri is split in half by the St. Louis to Kansas City lines of both the Kansas City Southern and Norfolk Southern railroads. The KCS line was once the Chicago and Alton, and changed owners several times. After the C&A, the line became the Gulf Mobile and Ohio, Illinois Central Gulf, Chicago Missouri and Western, and finally the Gateway Western before being brought into the KCS fold. Norfolk Southern's line(in the background) was the Wabash, later Norfolk and Western line. On two separate spring nights, we see KCS trains passing through the small midwestern town. First, a KCS grain train from Jacksonville, IL blasts through town during shift change at A.B. Chance Co. On another night, the Venice, IL to KC intermodal train comes through with much less fanfare.
