In one study, I’ve left links to the studies in the description area, eating chia seeds at breakfast increased fullness and people ate less food. This is so because its high fiber and protein help increase fullness and reduces your appetite. The next benefit is reducing blood pressure. In one study the participants with high blood pressure consumed chia flour for 12 weeks and lowered their systolic blood pressure from 146.8 to 137.3. The 3rd benefit is for bone health because it contains a high percentage of calcium, phosphorus and magnesium. For people who don’t consume diary, chia seeds is an excellent source of calcium because just one ounce contains 18% of the daily recommended amount.
