Because it contains many vitamins and nutrients beneficial for your skin like vitamin A, zinc and vitamin c. Also it contains a compound called sulforaphane which can protect your skin against sun damage and help maintain collagen levels. The 6th food is yellow or red bell peppers which are an excellent source of beta carotene and a one cup serving contains 211% of the daily recommended value of vitamin c and 156% of vitamin A. The 5th food is sweet potatoes because it contains high amounts of beta carotene which acts as a natural sun block which may help prevent dry skin and wrinkles. The 4th food is sunflower seeds because one ounce provides half of the daily value of vitamin E and 14% of zinc which is vital for regulating new skin cell production and inflammation. The 3rd food for skin health are walnuts because they have a lot of omega-3 and 6 fatty acids. The omega 3s are good for fighting skin inflammation.
