The fruits I picked for this video are backed by years of scientific studies documenting their health benefits for people and they don’t include apples, bananas or oranges. Not all fruit is created equal and some provide better nutritional value than others. These fruits have unique health benefits proven by years of research and I’ve included links to all the studies down below. The first fruit is kiwi. This nutrition packed fruit is probably walked by in the supermarket more than any other fruit. Kiwi has almost twice as much vitamin c as oranges. Studies have shown kiwi reduced the amount of times someone gets sick with the flu or cold. In an 8 week study people who consumed kiwi everyday lowered their blood pressure significantly, even more than an apple. It also reduced fat in the blood, blood clotting, improved digestion and helped prevent oxidation, which is one of the biggest reasons why your body ages. The next fruit is guava which gives you over 100% of the recommended amount of vitamin c. It’s also rich in fiber, folate, vitamin a and potassium. Guava, like kiwi also protects your body from oxidation, in one study guava seeds showed to have one of the highest antioxidant activities. Another healthy fruit are pomegranates largely because of their antioxidants which were shown to be 3 times higher than green tea and red wine. Numerous studies have shown how it battles inflammation which is another major reason why your body ages. The next fruit is avocado which is a low carb fruit and made up of mostly healthy fat. It contains a lot of potassium, almost double than a banana and has magnesium and fiber, which are all beneficial for high blood pressure, your heart and inflammation.
