He is a superb composer and a great singer too - his rough cut carried the pathos of this song so much that I asked him to record it in his voice! Egged by Deepak Panditji, this was my first original Ghazal. I will make at least another one. Ghazal singing’s popularity is attributable to the pathos of the lyrics set to a unique blend of Classical Indian and popular music. Irshaad Dalal Saheb's words were hauntingly touching. My great delight was to have my daughter Arya act in the video - going through the cycle of the pain of separation to the joy of togetherness.
