Born in a family of musical tradition, Debaprasad started grooming at the age of 5 under his father Pt. Adhindra Mohan Chakraborty, also received rigorous training from Pt. Ajay Sinha Roy in the Style of playing which is widely known as “Baba Alauddin Khan’s “Senia Maihar gharana”. Then for some time, he received valuable training from Pandit Gokul Nag of Bishnupur Gharana. Pt. Debaprasad has enriched his music based on “dhrupad style”.
