The artist was accompanied on tabla by Soumen Nandy. He had played Jaijayanti, Maru Behag and concluded with Sohini. About the artist: Ayan Sengupta has been learning and playing Sitar for the last 15 years. He started learning from Pt. Manilal Nag, then went on to learn from Pt. Kushal Das and presently is a scholar at ITC Sangeet Research Academy, Kolkata where he is learning from Pt. Partha Chatterjee and Pt. Ajoy Chakraborty. His hometown is in Shyamnagar in West Bengal which is 50 kms away from Kolkata.
