Celluloid is becoming more and more rare, and therefore the Miya returns to multicolor in strictly limited quantities. This limited edition comprises only 100 individually numbered examples of each colour, and writers can select from a line-up of gold nibs with ebonite feeds. Nib sizes available are Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, 1.1 Stub, Extra Fine Flex and Fine Flex. Montegrappa Miya Ebonite: For this latest excursion into nostalgist nirvana, Montegrappa’s craftsmen have turned to premium German ebonite to infuse a classic silhouette with masculine grunt. Like celluloid (an in-house staple), ebonite is steeped in vintage mystique. Invented by the Goodyear brothers in 1851, this vulcanised hard rubber compound featured extensively in the early 20th century Elmo pens that were produced in Montegrappa’s Venetian factory. Keen-eyed pen aficionados will recognize the three mottled ebonite colors from Montegrappa’s Mia Carissima (2019): Brick Red, Blackcurrant and Petroleum. This limited edition comprises only fifty numbered examples of each, and writers can select from a line-up of gold nibs with ebonite feeds.
