Architects3DP's video: Cura advanced settings 2019 - Shell 05

@Cura advanced settings 2019 - Shell #05
In the fifth episode of the Cura advanced settings 2019, I'm going to explain you how to configure the shell tab in Cura 4.3. Adjusting the shell settings in Cura, we will discover how to improve the quality of our 3d printed projects. In this episode I am going to print a Mickey Mouse 3d model created by Gabriel Martini with and without support. You will be able to download the STL file down below in the downloads section. In total, in this video, we'll experiment with the wall line count, top layers, bottom layers, top/bottom pattern, bottom pattern initial layer, outer wall inset, optimize wall printing order, outer before inner walls, horizontal expansion, z seam alignment, seam corner preference and enable ironing. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In case you want to check out the Cura Advanced Settings 2018 series, you can have a look here: https://bit.ly/2Kn9NyC If you want to buy the Geeetech Green PLA Filament that we are using in this series, you can do it here: https://amzn.to/2YS5pM8 The Architects3DP i3 custom 3D Printer that you can build with this series for $200: https://youtu.be/S6Dyy7ZYM04 Here we made an optimised configuration for our custom 3D Printer, the Architects3DP i3: https://bit.ly/2YMPD9p Download the Mickey Mouse STL file here: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-mickey-mouse-2062 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The list of episodes of this series is going to be growing every week. It supports a huge variety of 3d printers such as the BQ Hephestos, Original Prusa i3 MK3S, Ultimaker 2, Ultimaker 3, Rostock, Creality CR10s Pro, Ender 3 Pro, etc. It allows us to print in 3d in three different ways: The first is by uploading the .gcode files into an SD Card, that we will insert in our 3D Printer. Second, we can connect our 3D Printer to our computer via USB, and control it directly from our Cura software, and finally, there is an option to control some 3D Printers at the same time remotely, via internet. Ultimaker Cura in the version 4.2.1, or the most recent version depending when you watch this video, is available for Windows, Mac OS, and Linux operating systems. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -Support Architects3DP on Patreon here: https://www.patreon.com/Architects3DP -Subscribe to our YouTube Channel Clicking here: https://goo.gl/UMEuL7 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ If you want to follow us on social media to stay tuned when new content is uploaded, you will find the links in our website: https://architects3dp.com Finally I would like to propose you to become a Patron through the next link: https://www.patreon.com/Architects3DP By doing that, you would make me super happy and you will also help me to keep bringing good content to the channel.
