Imagine a world, in which governments enter in the constitution of their countries, a reservation that the country will always be forested with crystal pure water... Utopia? Gross National Happiness (GNH) - an indicator proposed in 1972 by the former King of Bhutan, Jigme Singye Wangchuck as an instrument for measuring the quality of life in a more holistic way than the commonly used only economic indicator GDP. This idea is met with interest around the world. Mozambique is not a paradise in terms of national GDP, but that doesn't mean that citizens are not happy, on the contrary, the country is even struggling with high levels of income inequality. Thanks to the preservation of culture and tradition in the country, happiness is observed among its inhabitants. Tradition and culture are oriented towards setting social norms, which, when regulated, give a certain comfort and sense of security to the individual, it emphasizes the importance of family closeness and rich social bonds in Mozambique. This supports mental well-being. Citizens obtain the highest sense of happiness from faith in God, family relationships and friendships strengthened by respecting culture and tradition. This makes it easier to notice happiness, while material values ​​that are also important give a sense of happiness as a tool that can be used for an easier life.
