Although the locomotives are meant to haul the heavier freight consignments, but it is a refreshing sight to see them hauling the comparatively lighter and faster loads. (BNC) HUMSAFAR Superfast. 2) 12235 SBI WDG- 4 hauled 13134 Varanasi (BSB)- Sealdah (SDAH) UPPER INDIA Express. 3) 70865 TKD WDG- 4D hauled 19031 Ahmedabad (ADI)- Haridwar (HW) YOGA Express. 4) 70726 KTE WDG- 4D hauled 12345 Howrah (HWH)- Guwahati (GHY) SARAIGHAT Superfast. 5) 12172 SGUJ WDG -4 hauled 13150 New Alipur Duar Junction (APDJ)- Sealdah (SDAH) KANCHAN KANYA Express. 6) 70726 KTE WDG- 4D hauled 12504 Agartala (AGTL)- Bangalore Cantt. (BNC) HUMSAFAR Superfast. 12504 is the second HUMSAFAR Express to hit the tracks. The train follows the Agartala- Badarpur- New Haflong- Guwahati- Kamakhya- (Via Goalpara Town)- New Bongaigaon- (Via New CoochBehar)- New Jalpaiguri- Kishanganj- Malda Town- Rampurhat- Howrah- Kharagpur- Bhadrakh- Cuttack- Bhubaneshwar- Khurdah Road- Brahmapur- Vizianagaram- Vishakapatnam- Vijayawada- Perumbur- Katpadi- Bangalore Cantt. route. ++ Inaugural HUMSAFAR Full coverage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gBGwA5BxX8 The Saraighat Express is a daily superfast train which runs between Howrah (Kolkata) and Guwahati (Assam). The train is named after the famous Battle of Saraight fought between Mughals and rulers of Assam (Ahom Kingdom) in which Mughals were defeated by the Ahoms under the great leadership of Mahavir Lachit Barphukan Commander-in-Chief. The train follows the Howrah- Burdwan- Bolpur Shantiniketan- Rampurhat- Malda Town- Kishanganj- New Jalpaiguri- New Cooch Behar- New Alipurduar- New Bongaigaon- Guwahati route of ER/ NFR. Kanchan Kanya Express follows the Alipur Duar- New Mal- Siliguri- New Jalpauguri- Kumedpur- Malda Town- Farakka- Rampurhat- Bolpur Shantiniketan- Budwan- (Chord)- Sealdah route. UPPER INDIA uses a lenghty route, i.e. Varanasi- Mughal Sarai- Dildarnagar- Ara- Danapur- Patna- Mokama- Kiul- Jamalpur- Bhagalpur- Sahibganj- Barharwa- Rampurhat- Bolpur Shantiniketan- Burdwan- Sealdah route.. The train was one of the first trains to travel between Calcutta and Delhi (13 UP, 14 DOWN). But after Asansol- Patna- Mughal Sarai MAIN Line and Asanol- Dhanbad- Mughal Sarai GRAND CHORD Lines were introduced, and more and more trains were introduced on those routes, this train lost its sheen, and was made to run till Mughal Sarai. Later it again got extended till Varanasi. YOGA Express follows the Ahmedabad- Mahesana- Palanpur- Abu Road- Marwar- Ajmer- Jaipur- Bandikui- Alwar- Rewari- Delhi Cantt.- Old Delhi-Tapri- Roorkee- Haridwar route.
