A station which had semaphores, single line section and zero E Loco movement even a decade ago is now on the verge of being dominated by WAPs WAGs. With the entire Howrah- Burdwan- Bolpur Shantiniketan- Rampurhat- Farakka- Malda Town being under wires, and the Bandel- Katwa- Azimganj- Farakka on the verge of being electrified, its not long before almost all the trains from Howrah/ Sealdah/ Kolkata loses their diesel links. To start the beginning of the end, 13011 Howrah (HWH)- Malda Town (MLDT) INTERCITY Express (Via Rampurhat) becomes the first train from Howrah to Malda Town to run with ELoco. On January 28, the train ran with 22336 HWH WAP- 4 to mark the end of an era. So presenting you a compilation of the train with two EMD links just days before the diesel link was lost. 1) Powered by 40373 HWH WDP- 4D, the route diverted 13011 Howrah (HWH)- Malda Town (MDLT) INTERCITY Express races past Mirzapur Bankipur station at a fairly good speed. 2) Powered by a sizzling offlink 70613 LDH WDG- 4D, the 13012 Malda Town (MLDT)- Howrah (HWH) INTERCITY Express accelerates past Talkit station after getting late proceed signal.
