Samantha Play As Janaki Devi in 96 Remake | Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha-starrer 96, directed by C Prem Kumar is one of the best Tamil films in 2018. Recently, it was announced that 96 will be remade in Telugu with Sharwanand and Samantha Akkineni reprising Sethupathi and Trisha's roles According to sources, the makers are considering the title ‘Janaki Devi’ for the remake version and have registered the same in the Film Chamber. While the script underwent minor changes to suit the Telugu audience, both the main leads are expected to undergo a screen test in the coming days. Janaki Devi aka Jaanu is the name of Trisha’s character in 96 and popular singer-cum-dubbing artist Chinmayi has given her voice for the actress.
