Magicians did a lot to expose and debunk fraudulent mediums but ironically, spiritualists always claimed that magicians possessed supernatural powers. In this video I share some stories about John Nevil Maskelyne, David Devant, Harry Houdini and Arthur Conan Doyle. These stories also bring up an important question: why can magic seem so real?
